A bad day for our Div One sides in The County Junior Cup with only Waddesdon and Meadowcroft United making it through to the next round
A hat trick of hat tricks as Elm Farm batter a beleaguered Bucks.  Big wins in The Prem today as well for Britannia United, Sparta and Ickford
In Div Two action, Jakemans go top after beating St Johns and Aylesbury Town go second after hitting FC Wanderers for six.
Thame also hit six to beat Winslow Town and The Cricketers beat Southcourt Spitfires in the days late kick off

You wouldn't believe that two days could be so different!  Yesterdays games were played strong winds and torrential rain whilst today we had blue skies, glorious sunshine and hardly a breath of wind.

Our Div One sides who entered The Berks & Bucks FA Sunday Junior Cup were all in round two action this Sunday.

Wycombe Town FC are one of the top sides in our County, so we must assume that their ressies are a decent outfit as well - AS Cavese found this out this week, but they came away having put up a decent fight before going down 6-3.  Grenson travelled to Castle United who are from the Slough area.  Their weakened squad battled well but came home with a 6-3 defeat.  Dane Roberts scored twice and Ryan Collings was also on target for Grenson.  Most of our remaining teams were up against sides from MK and they saw little success this morning.  After Southcourt Spitfires dispatched Inter Inchley's Reserve side last week, an ever improving Aristocrat got the chance to put out their first team.  They were in up to half time trailing 3-2, but they folded in the second half and eventually lost 9-2.  FC Torpedo Aylesbury faced a tricky tie away to Old Swan (Bletchley) and were soundly beaten 8-2 whilst LBG (Aylesbury) didn't do much better when they also travelled north to play Open University Reserves FC losing out 6-1.  Cheddington also made the journey to the concrete city and they were sent back home by Medbourne FC on the wrong end of 3-1 scoreline.

In the all Div One clash, Meadowcroft FC caused somewhat of an upset by beating high flying The Square FC 2-0 in a 2pm kick off.

So it's congratulations to AFC Waddesdon who along with Meadowcroft United, are our other winners today.  They made hard work of it tough as they just about squeezed past Athletico Bird (Risborough) who play in Div Three in Wycombe's league, 2-1 the final score.

Look out for the draw for the next round of The Berks & Bucks FC Sunday Junior Cup online early next week here.

All of Prem sides, other than Springhill FC who are in the middle of a month's lay off, were in action this week.

Padbury AFC will be the first to admit that their surprise promotion at the end of last season came as somewhat of a shock.  They have struggled to make an impact in the top flight and they faced what could be their toughest test yet when they visited reigning champions FC Sparta Corinthians who themselves were looking to extend that lead at the top of the table.  It was a comfortable win in the end for our champs as they ran out 8-2 winners and go six points clear at the top.  Britannia United's shaky start to the season may well have taken a turn for the better as they hammered in form VTS FC 7-2 at Stone Rec whilst Ickford made it three wins in a row with a fine 4-0 win away at Nags Head - Rob and Charlie Griffiths getting two apiece for the visitors.  The season started with much promise for Bucks (Aylesbury), but things look to be going from bad to worse for Dave Fountains men right now.  With several of their star summer signings moving on and the disappointment of being kicked out of the Vale Cup, they sunk to the depths of despair this morning after a crushing 15-0 defeat at the hands of Elm Farm.  Lee Parrack started the show with a goal after just 12 seconds whilst Craig Topping, Martin Kynsey and Chris Davies all went on to complete their hat tricks.

In Division Two, Thame Athletic beat Winslow Town 6-2 with Sam Beckett and Martin White both bagging a brace for the home side.  Aylesbury Town lost their first league game last time out, but they soon put that behind them by hammering FC Wanderers 6-0 this morning and they go second tonight.  Overnight leaders Stoke Mandeville FC's game with Excel Dents was postponed which meant that Jakemans Sports' 5-2 win over fellow ground sharers St Johns FC puts them top of the table this evening.

Two of our cup giant killers met in a 2pm kick off when Southcourt Spitfires lost 2-0 to Chearsley Cricketers.
