Meeting Minutes
February
7th, 2008
Opening:
The regular meeting of the SLN Aylesbury
Sunday Football Combination was called to order at 20:00 on 7th
February 2008 at Bucks CC S & SC by Roland Simmons.
Present: Roland
Simmons, George Key, Sharon Pennery, Jim Wallace, Paul Bateman, Darren Pennery,
Terry Medd, Wayne Marting, Basil Wetters, Richard Boyle, Bob Walter

Approval of Minutes

Chairman:
- Cheque
received from League sponsor John Hasler. Many thanks go to John of SLN for
his continued support to the League.
- Yeomen
FC were invited in to the meeting; points were discussed with the Club and
these shall be monitored. Thanks to Jason Curbishley, Sam Elliot, and Chris
for attending.
Secretary:
- Padbury
United Reserves, letter received and read out regarding none attendance to
meeting. Letter accepted as apologies but a letter will be sent to the club
regarding sportsmanship marks.
- All
correspondence read out and passed.
- All
clubs who play on council pitches to take note that pitches need to be
booked well in advance, clubs have fixture lists for the season, so there
are no excuses for not having a pitch. The committees are aware of fixture
changes so this will be taken into consideration.
- Letters
have been sent out regarding Cup Final venues. Tring Athletic has been
booked for the Vale of Aylesbury Cup Final 30th March 2008.
- Any
rules changes for next season to be sent to the League Secretary by 28th
February.
Treasurer:
- All
outstanding fines issued for December and January have all now been paid.
Fixture
Secretary:
- Fixtures
are going well considering the weather over the last two months.
- Please
note that there a few matches unscheduled, some matches will have to be
played mid week so please be prepared.
Referee’s
Secretary:
- Thank
you to Adrian Gillett, John Scott and Vince Torre for standing in at the
last minute to cover matches other wise without officials.
- New
referees are being contacted on a regular basis.
Registration
Secretary:
- The
registration of players has now closed.
- Fines
passed to League Secretary.
- Concerns
about the following clubs have been raised regarding fines being picked up.
Ickford Reserves, Padbury United Reserves and Winslow Town.
- The
clubs mentioned above should refer to the League Handbook to reduce their
fines.
Results/Press
Secretary:
- Some
Clubs are still not ringing in results before 2pm.
- Fines
passed to league secretary.
- Goal
scorers from some teams are not being reported or recorded on team sheets
correctly this must stop immediately.
Sportsmanship
Secretary:
- Monitoring
of sportsmanship table to continue.
- The
following four teams are being monitored. This is due to there marks being
below the required standard of three. Yeoman FC, Padbury United Reserves and
Ickford and Ickford Reserves.
- League
Officials maybe in attendance at any of the above clubs matches to monitor
this situation regarding sportsmanship.
Ground
Liaison Officer:
- The
facilities at Westcott have been brought to our attention. It has been noted
that should AFC Belgrave be promoted for next season that these facilities
would not be up to the required standard.
Any
other Business:
Cup
Draws:
- Tony
Higginson and Chris Payne Trophy Draw to take place after Round 2 matches
are completed.
Agenda
for Next Meeting:
- The
structure for the Leagues next season will be discussed any information on
this matter to be addressed to the League Secretary.
