Get yourself on the next referees training course

Refereeing is not all about issuing players with red or yellow cards. Without officials the Beautiful Game would and could not take place. From local park football on a Sunday morning to the FA Cup Final, all football needs referees.

The next course local to us will be at Wycombe Wanderers FC starting on Monday 18th January 2010

Referee of the season 2008/2009, Matt Blanco with his award.
He said that he had never had anything like this before.
He is a lead to follow. On many occasions last season Matt, a single dad with six children from Oxfordshire, often caught the 280 bus to Aylesbury to referee the matches that he was appointed to.
If he missed the bus on the way home, he thumbed a lift. This shows the commitment what some referees are prepared to put into the game.
Matt would like to thank all the teams, The Management Committee and everyone else involved in the ASFC for this award.

Anyone can become a referee. All that is required is a passion for the game.
