Nags lose out to rivals Exiles in Chris Payne Trophy penalty shoot out drama
Aristocrat remain top, but it's Aston Clinton S&SC who now take over as serious title challengers in The Prem
In Div One, Topboys put ten past Yeoman as Halifax put the brakes on Bucks.  Stone start to fall as Belgrave find that early season form once more.  10 man Padbury beat 7 man Cublington and it's all square between Unique and Grenson
Leaders go without a game in Div Two once more.  Dents come from behind three times to beat Ickford Res.  Winslow stay bottom after big wins for Cheddington, FC Wanderers and Padbury AFC

Aylesbury Exiles took on Nags Head in the last outstanding quarter final tie in The Chris Payne Trophy this morning.  It went all the way in this one, but it's the Exiles that book their place in the semis after a dramatic penalty shoot out victory after the scores finished 4-4 after extra time.

In Premier Division action, FC Aristocrat have stretched their lead at the top of the table to five points this evening.  Today they looked to have put an end to Rockwood's slim hopes of taking the title after a 3-0 win.  Aston Clinton S&SC hit a rocky patch at the turn of the year, but they have more than steadied the ship now and are sitting in second place with a game in hand tonight.  They leapfrog VTS after a surprisingly easy 5-0 win over the current champions.  The other game between Ickford and Chandos Arms was postponed.

It was a full programme in Div One and leaders The Bell Topboys took another giant step further to promotion with an emphatic 10-0 win over troubled Yeoman FC.  It looks like Halifax (Aylesbury) are going to fight them all the way as they saw off the threat from Bucks (Aylesbury) to remain in second place after a 2-0 win.  AFC Belgrave have been struggling to muster enough troops for duty these days and with only ten men on parade for their game with promotion rivals Stone this morning, things looked bleak.  However, Terry Medd's men couldn't make the extra man advantage count as Belgrave move into third place with a stunning 6-0 win.  Another team light on bodies this morning were Cublington FC who could only mange the minimum 7 men.  They were beaten 7-0 at home to Padbury Utd Res who only fielded ten men themselves!

In Div Two, leaders Elm Farm had to endure yet another free weekend as their game with Chearsley Cricketers was postponed.  Not sure why the game never went ahead, but lets hope things get sorted before the two sides meet in next weeks Chris Payne Trophy semi final!  With Nags Head FC involved in cup games for most of the season, other sides have taken the opportunity to put points on the board and climb the table.  Excel Dents are well in the hunt for promotion and they had to come from behind three times this morning before eventually overcoming Ickford Reserves 5-3 at Walton Court.  Cheddington Reserves have also put themselves in the race for promotion after they beat basement boys Winslow Town 3-1.  There were big wins for some of our sides at the wrong end of the table today as Padbury AFC continue to pull away from the bottom of the table after a 2-1 win over Thame Athletic and FC Wanderers are no longer 'strugglers' after a 2-1 win over Walton Street Rangers.
