Aylesbury
Vale was hit by some horrendous weather over the last 24 hours which saw
the postponement of several games this morning.
FC
Aristocrat made the furthest possible journey north to play Olney Town in
Round Three of The Berks & Bucks FA Sunday Intermediate Cup.
They came away with a place in the next round with hard fought 4-3
win. After bagging a brace for Aylesbury United in their win over
Stourport Swifts yesterday, James Faulkner turned out for his Sunday side
and scored what turned out to be the winning goal.
Aston
Clinton S&SC are also through after they saw off Belmont (Chesham) 5-0
at a wet and windy Aston Clinton Park.
Today's
league programme was obliterated due to the weather, but in Div One, Terry
Medd's Stone FC are celebrating yet another big win tonight. After
ending Halifax's winning run last week, they took on AFC Belgrave at Stone
Rec this morning.
Some second half action:

Referee Brian Sinclair immaculately turned out for the conditions!

Stefan Wilson scores for AFC Belgrave.

Former Chairman of The Aylesbury & District Referees Association Brian
Sinclair.

All the AFC Belgrave players stopped as they thought the ball had gone out
of play, but with no whistle from the ref, Stone's Dave Daley makes it
3-2.

No let up in the conditions, but Stone FC went on to win 4-3.
They now occupy second place in the table alongside Halifax (Aylesbury),
but are lagging being on goal difference.
In
today's only other surviving Div One game, Halifax (Aylesbury) suffered
their second successive defeat with a surprise 2-1 defeat at the hands of
Bucks (Aylesbury).
Only
the three games in Div Two today and FC Wanderers took three valuable
points at a very wet and windy Towersey as they beat Chearsley Cricketers
3-1. Leaders Elm Farm had no problems this morning when they welcomed
Thame Athletic to Walton Court and here is some first half action:

Elm Farm striker Alex Woodfine.

This effort came to nothing early on for Elm Farm...

...but Jordan Alder (7) opens the scoring moments later.

Sometimes you wish you'd stayed in bed!!

2-0 to Elm Farm.

Referee Alan Watts.

Alex Woodfine heads over the bar this time.
His side went on to win comfortable 10-0 and stretch their lead at the top
of the table.

P****d off or what!!
Take me home dad! The dog was not impressed with today's weather
conditions!
It's
even grimmer up north!!!
This
was the scene in Blackpool this morning as games in their Sunday League
suffered with the weather as well:

Any of our lads prepared do this at council venues ??

"Is it still on ref"?

Same headgear for their refs as well!!
Padbury
United Reserves beat Cublington 4-0 at Springfields. Nobody from the
home the home club bothered letting the league know the result though, I
only found out from someone at Cublington FC at about 4pm!!
Here
are all of today's results:
