Sparta Reserves come from behind to win at Cheddington in Div One, LBG miss out on top spot as they go down to The Square, Meadowcroft get their first league win over hapless Unique and Torpedoes join Grenson at the top after thumping Aristocrat
In Div Two, Aylesbury Town can't quite nick top spot after narrow win at Ickford Res.  Wanderers just behind the leaders now after fine win at Thame, Jakemans whack The Spitfires, Dents thump St Johns and Winslow win easily again

So after a couple of Sundays of a mix of league and County Cup action, it's down to just league action for most of our sides this weekend.

In The Prem, two of our top sides met when Elm Farm took on champions FC Sparta Corinthians at Walton Court.  It was the champs that kept the pressure on at the top with 5-2 win to set up a cracker next week against Springhill FC who comfortably brushed aside Nags Head 6-0 this morning.  It's also a big day for Britannia United next Sunday as they prepare for their FA Sunday Cup tie.  Remember, they played today's opponents Padbury AFC on the final day of last season and won 14-0.  They couldn't quite match this score this time around, only managing to win it 12-1 today, Dean Ingram netting for Padbury.  Finally, former Bucks (Aylesbury) striker Pat Callaghan came off the bench to score one of his new sides goals as VTS FC went on to win 7-3 against his old side at Haywood Way.

The top of the Division One table is beginning to have something of a familiar look to it tonight.  Despite having the day off, Grenson FC remain top, but only on goal difference from last seasons rivals FC Torpedo Aylesbury who were neck and neck throughout last seasons Div Two campaign.  Today, Doug Haines' side won comfortably 5-0 against Aristocrat FC to close that gap at the to just 3 goals!!  The Square FC are beginning to make good progress and they slip nicely into third spot after a great win over LBG (Aylesbury) and FC Sparta Corinthians Reserves came from 2-0 down win 3-2 at Cheddington and stay well in contention.  Unique FC can't seem to get their season going despite some recent new signings and they went down 3-0 at home to Meadowcroft United who are celebrating their first ever league win tonight.

Div Two leaders Stoke Mandeville FC had a free day this week and that gave Aylesbury Town the opportunity to make top spot all their own.  They blew it though as they made hard work of it after just about squeezing past a brave Ickford Reserves 2-1, a result that keeps them off the top by means of goal difference.  Excel Dents maintain their position of third after another emphatic win, this time beating St Johns 4-1 and FC Wanderers stay level on points with them after a hard fought 2-1 win over Thame Athletic, Steve Keating with one of The Wanderers goals.  Things don't look good once again for Southcourt Spitfires after they took another beating today, 8-2 they lost to Jakemans Sports and things look to be coming good on the field for Winslow Town if not off the field!!  They have come back from their suspension in 'fine' football style with two good wins, this time beating Chearsley Cricketers 4-1, but they can't seem to get it right when it comes to phoning in the result!!  A second successive fine for them as Dave McArdle says that they were this weeks only non-compliers with the rules!!

Game finishes around 12.15, phone the result in by 2pm.  That gives you almost two hours -
