Aristocrat sent crashing out of the
County Cup but The Topboys are safely through as all the rest of today's
County Cup games are beaten by the weather
Dents win away at a muddy
Cheddington. Thame Athletic come from two down to beat Aylesbury
Exiles
Heavy
rain over the past 36 hours meant that most of our games were postponed
today. In fact only four games went ahead.
In
The Berks & Bucks FA Sunday Intermediate Cup Round Four, FC
Aristocrat, who are still in with a shout of winning all the competitions
they have entered this season, traveled to neighbouring Chesham face
Eldorado Diamonds FC. Sadly, they are now out as The Diamonds put in
a sparkling performance to win 3-1.
In
The Berks & Bucks FA Sunday Junior Cup, there was only the one tie
that survived the weather this morning. The Bell Topboys travelled
to MK and came away with an easy 8-1 victory over Stanton Manor.
In
The Trophy, both games were postponed and are now scheduled for next week.
In
league action, Stone FC's home game with Cublington in Div One was
postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
In
Div Two, Cheddington Reserves hosted Excel Dents and it was the visitors
who came away with a valuable 3-1 win. Aylesbury Exiles FC have made
a successful start to life in their new home at St Johns S&SC.
Today the welcomed fellow newcomers to the league, Thame Athletic FC,
here's the action:

A wet and deserted Fairford Leys this morning but...

...just up the road is St Johns Sports & Social Club in Stone where
conditions were almost perfect.
Aylesbury Exiles FC have made this venue their new home for this season.
With separate changing rooms, showers, a bar and an excellent playing
surface all for just £30 a game!!

Exiles Errol Henry (14) in the thick of the action as this early effort is
cleared off the line...

...and just moments later he puts his side ahead.

"Av it"

A fine save from the athletic Thame Athletic keeper.

Steve Keating (out of shot) makes it two...

...then checks that it's still two!!!

Thame Athletic were two down but never out of it as this late first half
effort bounces off the top of the crossbar.

James Green now plying his trade for Aylesbury Exiles after the sad demise
of Haydon Hill FC earlier in the season.

The Exiles defence go wandering as Thame's Matt Tatum sneaks in to pull
one back for his side early in the second half.

Exiles skipper Ryan Collings finds himself in referee Peter Rice's
notebook.

Thame's Phil Muston claims this equalizer and it's now 2-2.

Exiles player/manager Rob Henry enters the fray midway through the second
half.

Errol Henry misses this chance.

Thame Athletic go in search of a winner.

Exiles player/manager Rob Henry (left) and striker Errol Henry.
I don't think they are related, It's not my place to ask, I'm not getting
involved!!

They think it's all over - at least me and the dog did as we headed home!!
Sorry it's blurred, but Jon Collard, who's in there somewhere, scores a
dramatic late winner to seal a remarkable comeback.
Final score, Aylesbury Exiles 2, Thame Athletic 3 and a great game from
two of our new sides who will no doubt be looking forward to next week
when they meet in Cup.
