News and results from tonight's
games
HEADLINES - Nags Head FC were all set to play their home game with Chearsley Cricketers at a bright and sunny Meadowcroft tonight knowing that just the one point would assure them a place in the top two alongside Elm Farm. With all their players changed and ready to start, the call came through that The Cricketers were not coming as they were unable to raise a side. All appeared well this morning, but as they day went on, and despite the valiant efforts made by some of The Cricketers players, the numbers diminished. Now then, last season, one of our leagues was won on default when a side failed to show. The County FA took exception to this, so it may be that this game will have to be replayed. The matter is now in the hands of The Management Committee so I'm afraid The Nags promotion party is on hold for the time being! In tonight's other game, Alex Woodfine netted 8 times as Elm Farm beat Thame Athletic 15-0 at Toweresey. Tonight's results: Division Two
