FC Aristocrat beat Chandos Arms and go top of the Prem
  Important win for Ickford Res

At the start of the season, it was suggested that Sunday 23rd December be ‘closed down’ as regards fixtures.  However, things change as time goes by and we ended up with 5 fixtures.

The vale woke too a seasonal picture of frost and thick fog which eventually saw three of these scheduled games postponed.

In The Premier Division, FC Aristocrat and Chandos Arms met at Edinburgh Sports Ground.

The scene at Edinburgh Sports Ground at 10am this foggy morning.

Chandos Arms had Ritchie Boyle in goal for the first half and he looked to be at fault for at least two of the five goals that eased passed him in the first 45.

Not even this stepladder could helped the hapless keeper Boyle this morning!

He was replaced between the sticks by Rob Elsey for the second half who managed to let in just the one.

Rob Elsey took the gloves for the second half with a bit more success!!

So 6-0 the final score and it puts FC Aristocrat top of the table for Christmas.

The only other game to take place today came in Div Two as Ickford Reserves narrowly beat FC Wanderers by the odd goal in five.
