It's been a while
since FC Aristocrat tasted defeat, but despite ending 2007 in top spot,
they lost out 4-3 to Aston Clinton S&SC this morning. A results
that sees the former champions move ominously into second place in the
table. Both the other Premier Division games scheduled for today
were postponed.
In Div One, AFC
Belgrave kept up their chase for promotion with a 5-1 win away to in form
Yeoman. Bucks (Aylesbury) have made a quiet start to the season, but
they now seem to be heading in the right direction after today's 11-2
demolition of Grenson. Stone FC had the opportunity to go level on
points at the top of the table today, but neither side could score in the
game with Padbury Utd Res. The game between Unique FC and Cublington
was postponed earlier in the week.
In Div Two, the top
two are beginning to pull clear of the field after big wins today.
Elm Farm stay five points clear at the top with a 7-1 win away to FC
Wanderers whilst Nags Head kept up the pressure with 6-1 win over Winslow
Town. Walton Street Rangers had another impressive win with a 4-2
victory away to Chearsley Cricketers to move to within a point of
Aylesbury Exiles who were well beaten 7-2 away to Cheddington Res.
The bottom two remain just as the were before the start of play this
morning, but they produced a cracker of a game. 3-3 the final score
between Ickford Res and Padbury AFC.
