Some
photo's from the archives for you to enjoy

The sheer joy of underdogs Unique FC winning The Chris Payne Trophy back in
2006...
probably one of my favourite photo's ever...

...closely followed by this one of the dog showing utter disrespect to Bill
Shankly on a trip to Anfield back in 2007.
We will save my favourite photo for the end!!

After Anfield, it was on to Blackpool where some of their Council pitches make
ours look good - more pics from up north later.

The 'evergreen' Nigel Sibley' takes a breather during one of our finals at Tring
Athletic.
The league celebrates its 40th anniversary next season and this veteran has been
around for almost all of em!!

Another veteran Errol Henry seen here enjoying his testimonial game this
season.
No signs of hanging those boots up yet as you can still catch those legendary
elbows, late tackles, and the odd loud expletive on the local parks this
season!!

Men in black!
Referee Paul Bateman (centre) warms up with his assistants Vince Torre (right)
and Brian Sinclair.

Lee Parrack missed a hatful of chances in the last inter-divisional game we had
a few seasons ago.
After this final embarrassment saw him eat dirt...

...boss Brian Sinclair ordered him off!!
Look out for a rep game coming up in the new year and the possibility of the
inter-divisional game is on the cards too.

The SLN Aylesbury Sunday Football Combination Representative side in their last
outing at Tring...

... where League Secretary George Key takes the cash on the gate...

...where you can be assured that it is secured by the countries most prudent
and prettiest Treasurer in Sunday Football - Julianne Key.

Unique FC's Marc Thoday scores the winner in this penalty shootout...

...and is mobbed by his team-mates.

Grenson's larger than life boss Niall Pritchard.

My lovely other half Anne.
Left alone most weekends coming third behind refereeing and updating the
website.
The original football widow...

...and not forgetting Daughter Kristy who always takes great pleasure in
checking (and more often than not correcting) the spelling and grammar on the
website most Sunday evenings!!!

The 2008/2009 referee of the season Matt Blanco with his head on upside down
again...

...and here he is discussing hair styling tips with the two skippers.

Flooding is always a problem as the River Thame runs parallel to Haywood Way...

...and Meadowcroft.

Big Mick Hamilton scares the hell out of most people when he comes at you, but
Lee Benton looks more petrified than most on this occasion!!

Rob Elsey.
Chuffed to bits to pick up the trophy and the cheque for his sides Fair Play
award back in the days of Chandos Arms FC.

Excels Dents' Lino Ritchie Boyle attempts to explain another one of his dodgy
decisions!!
By mid 2010, he should be getting it right as Ritchie has enrolled on the next
referees course in Wycombe starting in January...

...where he will be joined by FC Wanderers'
Carl Miller seen here eagerly booking himself on the course after breaking his leg
in a recent game.
Wishing you a speedy recovery mate.

We've had a couple of my favourite photo's, now some of the worst.
Aylesbury United's Buckingham Road stadium rotting away...

...a crying shame...

...and you wouldn't believe the trouble this seemingly innocent photo caused
me!!

Sam Elliott and that hat.
The former Yeoman skipper is now running things on the field at newcomers Stoke
Mandeville FC.

VTS FC's Chris Davies hammers home this last minute winner.

Steve Keating enjoys his pre match meal...

...but not half as much as we enjoyed this picture of him taking one in the
nuts!!!

The cracks were appearing in Nags Head FC's County Cup tie away in
Wycombe last season...

...and up north in Blackpool, the cracks run just as deep.

Still in Blackpool where they do without such things as shirt numbers...

...where anyone can play in goal...

...and where their centre half's are so hard they nut the crossbars!!

Nephew James proudly supporting his clubs colours.
You can see him out most weekend with his Dad covering the action from The
Blackpool & Fylde Sunday Alliance.
And it's not only up north where they suffer cheats - click here
for a very familiar scenario!!

This scene has been repeated on many occasions as Ryan Collings gets a card from
referee Peter Rice - I wonder if he sent him a Christmas card??

Sadly, The Bell Top Boys are not around any more - even more sadly, neither are
these two!!

Out in all weather, but not impressed at times!!

Mr Excels Dents both on a Saturday and a Sunday - Matt Ellis.

Aston Clinton S&SC celebrate winning their last trophy.
Arguably the most successful team in the leagues 40 year history decided not to
carry on last season, but...

...Neil Roberts' celebrations provided us with our best photo ever in my
opinion.
More photo's later.
